King George V's great cutter Britannia crosses the bow of the American built schooner Westward. Westward's crew is not preparing to tack, indicating she is fetching the mark and therefore may gain the advantage if Britannia does not tack immediately. Westward and Britannia had a long rivalry despite their dissimilar designs.
