SEA CLOUD, 1939

Rosenfeld Collection

Description

SEA CLOUD, first known as HUSSAR (II), was a 316 foot 4-masted bark designed by Cox and Stephens and built by Fried Krupp Germaniawerft of Kiel, Germany in 1931 for the first owner E.F. Hutton. The vessel became SEA CLOUD in 1935 upon the divorce of the Huttons and the property of the former Mrs. Hutton. Marjorie and her second husband, Joseph E. Davies used SEA CLOUD when Mr. Davies was the Ambassador to Russia and was owned by Mrs. Davies until 1955.
