ANNIE, St. Lawrence River Skiff
A. Bain & Co.
Description
ANNIE came to Mystic Seaport's collection in 1980. Built by Bain at Clayton, New York, she is a fancy fishing skiff, with seats inlaid with cedar and butternut, butternut coamings, and birds-eye maple covering boards. At 140 pounds, she is lighter than most similar-sized skiffs, and has a little less deadrise than some. From 87 Boat Designs by Ben Fuller.
