Summer Eve at Mystic Seaport a/p Litho
Sally Caldwell Fisher
Sally Caldwell Fisher graduated from the University of Michigan in 1972 and moved to New England shortly thereafter where she established an affiliation with the Mystic Seaport. Now a resident of Maine, she describes her style of work, which is still evolving, as naive realism. Her images have been chosen as the cover of Yankee magazine and her illustrations can be found in 3 cookbooks published by the Mystic Seaport. Mrs. Fisher's marine work can be found in the permanment collection of the Smithsonian and in private collections throughout the country. People laughing, walking, and playing in the "great outdoors," the beautiful scenes of sky and sea, the landscape and people merging into one are the essence of the artist. To be at peace with one's own human nature: this is expressed in the different faces and different places of the paintings of Sally Caldwell Fisher.
