Description
Coronet signed by J. Mecray American's oldest surviving grand yacht is beautifully portrayed reaching towards her destination. The 133 foot schooner was launched in 1885. She won fame in 1887 when she beat Dauntless in the third Transatlantic Race. Coronet is presently berthed at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, RI where plan are underway to restore the country's most historic yacht.
By popular demand John Mecray has enhanced his highly acclaimed collection of limited edition prints with these new smaller-sized editions. A series of eight, open-edition prints are planned, all signed by the artist.
The sheets will be a uniform 25 " x 13" and are printed to the same high standards that have been the hallmark of Mecray's prints since 1976.
