BENJAMIN F. PACKARD, 244 ft. fully-rigged ship was built at the shipyard of Goss, Sawyer & Packard in Bath, Maine. She was more than twice the length of the CHARLES W. MORGAN. She was typical of the superbly designed, finely crafted "Down Easters" or "Cape Horners". The BENJAMIN F. PACKARD ended her days in 1939. Many artifacts were removed from her and are on display at Mystic Seaport. Plans drawn by Mystic Seaport staff in 1977.
