CAPT. JAMES LAWRENCE, Yacht Tender by Lawley
CAPT. JAMES LAWRENCE, Yacht Tender by Lawley
SKU:WSP.MISC.45
The Lawley tender was designed and built in 1907 by George Lawley at Neponset, Massachusetts as a tender for the schooner yacht, BLACKWING. This carvel-planked 12’ tender was loaned to Mystic Seaport for measuring. As might be expected, she is a bit more heavily built than Lawley's rowing tenders and a good bit wider in the transom. From 87 Boat Designs by Ben Fuller. The Great Lakes Boat Building School built a boat using these plans. Plans were drawn by Mystic Seaport staff, 1995-1996.
