Marblehead Dory-Skiff
Marblehead Dory-Skiff
SKU:WSP.MISC.18
This Marblehead dory-skiff was designed by John Gardner as an expansion of the Chamberlain that was the first project in the Mystic Seaport boat shop. Gardner lengthened the boat to 14' and gave it more beams generally, and specifically aft above the waterline, to improve sailing qualities. John's assistant, Alison Pyott, drew up the boat as it would have been built traditionally: start with a carved half model and built to the usual practice. From 87 Boat Designs by Ben Fuller. Plans drawn in 1976.
