The Ketchum Seaford was the recreational development of the gunning skiffs. Paul Ketchum built about 70 of them for Great South Bay vacationers. He modified the standard Seaford skiff design by using steam-bent oak frames, adding some freeboard, and shifting the mast and centerboard aft, which cut into the cockpit space, making rowing more difficult.  If you're looking for a small sailboat for sheltered waters, you should consider the Seaford skiff.  From 87 Boat Designs by Ben Fuller.  Lines plan drawn by Rob Pittaway in 1974, sailing rig drawn by Allison Pyott in 1976 and the construction plan drawn by Chris Rawlings in 1996.
