Philadelphia sailed boats called tuckups and hikers. They were all 15’ boats, varying in beam and sail power. The smallest were the tuckups, which could be sailed with sizable racing rigs or day-sailed with comfortable spritsail rigs. In shape, these boats superficially resemble Whitehall’s, but they are optimized for sailing. From 87 Boat Designs by Ben Fuller. Boat owned by Mariner's Museum and Park (155.1.1).
